2009年的曼哈顿短片电影节将于2009年9月20至27日，在美国、欧洲、亚洲、中东和澳大利亚的150个城市举行。
期间，该电影节于2009年9月22日在北京的愚公移山俱乐部举行。
中国的电影爱好者可以通过参与本次展映活动与世界范围内来自5个国家，150多个城市的超过十万名观众，结成统一战线。未来的电影大师即将脱颖而出，而您宝贵的投票有着举足轻重的作用！请您千万不要错过这一独一无二的参与契机。此次展映的10部作品，作为每年一度的曼哈顿短片节第十二届正式竞赛作品，是从今年来自世界各地成百上千的优秀作品之中精选出来的，所有到现场观看展映的观众都将得到一张选票，而您们的选择会同来自世界各地的超过十万张选票汇聚在一起，统计并送达纽约“曼哈顿短片节”的总部——全球规模最大的短片电影节的核心，同样也是本赛事冠军最终产生的福地！

The result is “Mozambique” a moving chronicle directed by Alcides himself, which details his journey to find his family and make a new life in his country.
