Hi, Micheal,
Glad to answer your question.
I live in Cincinnati, Ohio, a middle size city in the so called Mid West of America. The closest big city is Chicago, about 5 hour drive in the northwest direction. The life here is probably similar to life in Beijing except you see less people. Most of our friends are still Chinese. Comparing with you, we probably have much less night life. I seldom go out watching movie. We have much less reading material in Chinese. Sound pretty boring, right? Well, that's it. On the weekend, we sometimes go to a park or get together with a few friends to have a dim sum dinner. I play volleyball regularly with some friends. Early on, I played soccer for a while with some Chinese colleagues, but last year, half of them were laid off.

Yeah, totally agree.
The life in the states is boring.
Go to a movie on the weekend is the only entertainment choise for most Americans.
That is why the Box Office Income of a movie can reach 0.9 Billion US$.
I used to live in Geathersberg (forgot how to spell it) as a traveller 2 years ago, a small town about 30 minutes drive from D.C.
Lucky me, i eyewitnessed 911. I was there when the Pentagan was hit.
I believe if i was in China, i would say : they deserve it... just like all my friends said,
but i was there, i saw all the chaos, scream, pain...
Why, they are people, they dont deserve to die only because their government did something wrong.
好像扯远了,呵呵
BTW, i love dim sum too. especially the one i had in HongKong.
Back to Beijing, i could not find a good Dim Sum place,
all SiChuan spicy food.. :(
last, hope ya
Enjoy your life in the states...

About one hundred of employees of our company died in that disaster! At first when we heard the news, the first response of our chinese employees is to cheer, which is very different with that of foreign employees. However, when we received the mail from company about the loss of our colleagues, we were so sorry!
Whenever, the people should not be diserved to this kind of disater!
Hope no this tradegy again! |
