《Phonics and Reading》Teaching Plan
Teaching Goal
LET the student understand phonics Rules
Assistance lead the student to point read
Process
1st class(10:00 - 10:45) Warm up (10:00 – 10:15), give them thespelling and make sentences ideas listen to the song 《Alphabutt》 let the learn A isfor apple, B is for butt, then… let them to spell their name. for example, Iris,I is for I, r is for river, i is for igloo, s for slim(here assistance need tohelp them to think out some words if they can’t make it out, or using the wordsin the song) make a practiceand give them the 5 point if who is good. Phonics Rules and sight words learning (10:15 – 10: 35) Review last class learning letters and sounds Learning new letters (Ll , Pp, Ss, Tt) , Listen to audio and repeat andwrite down and remember the sight words. (10min) Assistance let them to practice with letter cards.(5mins) Give 5 points if they did good Do some homework(TBD), need to design the home work(10mins) Who make it right give 5 points
2nd class (10:55 – 11:30)
Reading picture books (let them to find what wealready learned the letters)
Assistanceread them first and make example of point read Letme write down the sight words Needto them to finished the following questions: 1. What’sthe main ideas? 2. Canyou summarize the text? 3. WhatJumps out at you? 4. Whatquestions do you have?
I will ask the children come to front to tell the story using English as much as possible, give 5 point to the good and brave ones
AIDS
Teaching need to bring:laptop(audios, ppt, vidos),name card, books。
Project need to support:projector, pens, letstudent to bring notebooks
Assistance requirement
12-15 assistances
Assistance learn with student and can raise upany question and suggestions during class
Help student to do point read
