这是孙老师推荐我去参加的一次活动,刚好我前几天在广州,还没听明白是怎么回事就答应了,要他们先发一份邮件给我,回来一看,居然把我排进了发言人的行列,实在是……不敢当。真的我觉得我们阳光有很多人像许沁、陈岩、安猪、一华、小麦、王硕、呀呀、小米……对志愿者工作付出更多,有更深切的体会。 Note: Go down for English 欢迎参加BINGO活动 “培养志愿者精神:如何发展愉快和持续的志愿者服务” 日期:9月14日 星期二 时间:晚上7-9点 地点:三味书店 地址:西城区复兴门内大街60号 (民族饭店对面。可乘坐15、1、4路公车 。电话:66013204) 形式:双语 (普通话和英语) ------------------------------------------ 主讲人: 叶祖禹 美新路基金会 (<http://www.newpathfound.org>) 叶先生是美新路基金的创办人和主席,这个基金会的主要目标是培养志愿者精神和在中国和非洲,为特定领域培养可持续的志愿者服务。美新路相信通过培养志愿者精神和支持有前途的志愿服务,我们可以让很多人生活得更好,推进志愿者认识到自我发展和成长并建立更加关爱与和谐的社会。叶先生现在定居北京。 Ruth Duggan, 英国海外志愿者 (<http://www.vso.org.uk>) 露丝曾在2002年8月至2004年8月作为英国海外志愿者的志愿人员在陕西工作。VSO从1981年开始在中国开展工作并且主要在教育和HIV/AIDS两个领域开展工作,同时他们也探索如何支持国内的志愿工作。露丝将告诉我们她在VSO的工作经历和在陕西她创办的服务教师培训项目( In Service Teacher Training INSETT),与当地农村教师一起工作,参观在宝鸡附近的农村中学,举办教学法的研讨会,观察教学和做实验课。她现在仍然是VSO的志愿者但搬到北京,精力集中在HIV/AIDS和INSETT项目的发展上。 胡丹丹 阳光志愿者协会星星雨项目负责人 胡丹丹曾是一名小学教师并在去年11月份加入阳光志愿者协会,现在是星星雨项目的负责人。星星雨是一个有11年历史的孤独症儿童教育机构,阳光志愿者协会是一个自发的志愿组织。 主题 这次活动的主题是如何激励志愿者精神和志愿者的价值。这次的讨论将由美新路的叶祖禹先生陈述如何发展和持续愉快的志愿工作,内容包括: - 志愿者的选拔和招募 - 项目和组织支持 - 志愿者的发展和培训 - 外部志愿者领袖的支持 - 同时我们还可以听到两位志愿者,Ruth Duggan (VSO International)和胡丹丹(阳光志愿者协会)将她们为何选择做一个志愿者和她们的工作为这个组织带来了什么。 我们邀请的主讲人将给我们带来对中国的志愿者精神非常有趣的介绍,不仅有ur invited speakers will provide a fascinating introduction to volunteerism in China from both the perspective of an organization and that of the volunteers themselves in order to engage in dialogue on how to develop positive and sustainable volunteer service. The main goals of the foundation are to cultivate volunteerism and to facilitate sustained volunteer services with special emphasis in China and Africa. New Path believes through cultivating volunteerism and supporting promising voluntary services, we can change many lives for the better, facilitate volunteers in realizing self development and growth, and create more caring and harmonious communities around us. Randy Yeh is based in Beijing. Ruth Duggan, Volunteer with VSO International (<http://www.vso.org.uk>) Ruth was a volunteer in Shaanxi Province for Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) from August 2002 to August 2004. VSO has been working in China since 1981 and works in two programme areas: Education and HIV and AIDs. They are also exploring how they can support national volunteering. Ruth will talk to us about her experience of volunteering for VSO where she set up the second VSO In Service Teacher Training (INSETT) project working alongside local rural teachers: visiting rural middle schools in the vicinity of Baoji, running Methodology workshops, observing lessons and teaching model lessons. Ruth continues to volunteer for VSO but has moved to Beijing to focus on HIV and AIDs and INSETT project development. Hu Dandan, Volunteer with Xing Xing Yu. Hu Dandan was a primary school teacher and joined Yang Guang Volunteer club last Nov. She is the chief organizer for the Xingxingyu project. Xing xing yu is an education institute for Children with Autism and Yang Guang(sunshine) volunteer club is a supporting group for people with leukemia. TOPIC The theme of the session will be how to encourage volunteerism and the values of volunteers. There will be a panel discussion on this followed by a presentation given by Randy Yeh from New Path Foundation on how to cultivate and sustain joyful volunteering. This will include: - Volunteer Matching and Recruitment - Program and Infrastructure Support - Volunteer Development and Training - Outside Volunteer Leaders Support We will also hear from two volunteers, Ruth Duggan (VSO International) and Hu Dandan (Xing Xing Yu) about why they chose to volunteer and what they brought to the organizations they worked with. Our invited speakers will provide a fascinating introduction to volunteerism in China from both the perspective of an organization and that of the volunteers themselves in order to engage in dialogue on how to develop positive and sustainable volunteer service.
